Snow Canyon Day 1

This week our school's 9th grade went on a camping trip to Snow Canyon. It made some of the best memories for me! It was so incredible to be surrounded by so much nature and so many of God's creations.

Emma sprained her ankle the night before the campout during a soccer game, but she still made it! She was on crutches for the first day, and spent most of the time playing cards and relaxing. And that cat on my shoulder is  a long story. :)

The first day we drove down to Snow Canyon, set up our tents, and went on a hike to see some of the different types of rocks. Once we came back, we played Spoons with some teachers and it was hilarious!! Then we drove down to the sand dunes.

This champ was so good about not complaining. We set up a camping chair so she could sit in the sand.

It was a really great day. I'm grateful that I have good influences like Emma to be around. Throughout the day we would jokingly say, "You can do hard things!" and now that I think about it, with a positive attitude you really can do hard things. Also, I'm glad that Heavenly Father allows us to go through trials that teach us. He sends us hard things so that we can learn and grow. I love that. He is a great teacher.
